Becky’s Story
Becky was 12 years old when she attended a Nelson’s Journey therapeutic weekend for bereaved children. On 16th July 2002 Becky’s Dad Philip was killed in a helicopter accident.
The helicopter Philip was travelling in had previously been struck by lightening however no damage was identified. During its last flight part of the helicopter blade snapped off and hit the rear propeller. The helicopter spiralled down into the North Sea , all 11 people on board died.
This short films features Becky telling her story of how her Dad died and then follows her on one of our weekend camps for bereaved children.
