We provide different services depending on the individual needs of each child / young person. These may include:
- Telephone and / or email guidance via our Support Line.
- For one of our Child Bereavement Support Workers to arrange to meet you for an in-person assessment of your child’s needs. This gives time one-to-one for them to talk about their feelings and memories of the person who has died, and to discuss ways to cope and remember them.
- Following an assessment, it may be that further one-to-one sessions are appropriate. We usually provide up to 3-5 sessions, each around an hour long, spread over several months. However, this can vary depending on their individual needs.
- To attend one of our NJ youth clubs, and / or one of our therapeutic days / weekends at Hilltop Activity Centre, to meet others in a similar situation.
There are resources below which you may find helpful.
Your Child Bereavement Support Worker will discuss which of these services are appropriate for child’s needs. This means they will not necessarily access all of the services listed above.
