Carol Bundock

Carol is a well known Norfolk based journalist. She said, 'I have come across many wonderful organisations in Norfolk, but one charity has hooked me in completely. To lose someone you love is hard at any age, Nelson's Journey is there to help children deal with all the complications surrounding grief. It gives them a voice and an outlet for many emotions they may be experiencing. Being better equipped on their journey through bereavement, these children can survive and eventually flourish'.

Stephen Bumfrey

Stephen is best known for his radio show Breakfast with Bumfrey on BBC Radio Norfolk. His first job in broadcasting was as a DJ on a pirate station in Italy back in 1980. He has worked for BBC Look East, commercial radio and the British Forces station BFBS. Stephen said “I wanted to support Nelson's Journey because I know first hand that bereavement is tough enough to deal with as an adult, but confronting the death of a significant person as a youngster is particularly traumatic. Our first 17 years can shape us for the rest of our lives. It's essential to be there for children and youngsters during such a difficult and confusing time.”

Chris Rankin

Chris is most famous for playing Percy Weasley in the Harry Potter films. He found out about Nelson’s Journey through a friend and agreed to become the charity’s Patron. His father died when he was 19 years old and said “When my father died, I had a lot of support from my friends and family. Some people don't have that support, and even if they do, it is always good to share your experiences and feelings with people in similar circumstances to yourself. Nelson's Journey gives kids the opportunity to do this, and make friends at the same time. I support them 100 per cent.”

Kaz Carter

Kaz has worked in local radio at Kiss FM for over 3 years and is now on CCN Live. She said 'Nelson's Journey volunteers and staff are some of the most dedicated and inspirational people I have ever met. I have never felt so passionately about a charity and really believe they have changed so many people's lives with the care and support they provide. I am so proud to be part of such an amazing charity'.
